FRE 331 French Civilization and Culture I

A survey of French history and culture from antiquity to the end of the Fourth Republic (1958). The course examines political, social, intellectual, literary and artistic trends, as well as certain influential figures and key types of architecture. Prerequisite(s): FRE 202.
