SOC 201 Sociology of Sport

A study of sport from a sociological perspective. Attention is given to such topics as sports and socialization, violence and deviance in sports, gender, race, and ethnicity in sports, sports and the economy, sports and media, the role of sports in high schools and colleges, and the relationship between sports and religion. 3 hour(s).
