THT 130 Text Analysis for Production

This course teaches students the principles and methods of analyzing dramatic texts for the purpose of theatrical production. The course will focus on examining the structural and thematic elements of a script in order to form a controlling idea that serves to inform the realized production. Students will learn how to analyze a script to apply it to multiple areas of production including design, directing, and acting. Offered every other fall. 3 hour(s).
