POL 202 American Government
An introductory course on the governing institutions and politics of the United States. Among modern democracies, the structure of government in the United States is unique. This course introduces students to the country’s governing institutions. Major themes include the dynamics of the federal system, the structures and interactions of the three federal branches, election processes, lawmaking, parties, bureaucracy, the judiciary, and the significance of public opinion for government decision-making. 3 hour(s).
