POL 205 History of Political Theory I

A survey of major works and thinkers of Western political thought from the ancient world into the Medieval period. The course will focus on thinkers such as Homer, Sophocles, Thucydides, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, and Aquinas. A major theme will be continuities and discontinuities between pre-Christian and Christian thinkers. 3 hour(s).
