EDU 260 Special Education Behavioral Supports
This course investigates planning instruction and implementing effective instructional practices for all learners. The course will primarily focus on inclusion in the General Education environment. It will also incorporate the importance of social skills training for students with disabilities, appropriate support for students with emotional needs, behavior management, community resources, basic medical management, and assessment concerns. A 10-hour practicum in a local special education classroom is required for this course. Prerequisite(s): EDU 121 and Declaration of Intent form to pursue Elementary Education or Master of Arts in Teaching Program. 3 hour(s).
