Proficiency in one year of an elementary-level foreign language. (Note: Students who have taken two years of the same foreign language in high school and attained an average grade of 2.67 or higher on a 4.00 scale in that language are exempted from the foreign language requirement. If a student is exempt from taking foreign language based on high school grades or placement scores, elective hours will need to be taken in order to earn a minimum of 126 hours required for graduation.)
