SOC 402 Contemporary Social Thought


A study of the development of social theory in recent Western history. Theorists in the nineteenth century who receive special emphasis include Durkheim, Marx and Weber. In the twentieth century, attention is given to Sumner, Parks, Cooley, Mead, Parsons and Merton. Prerequisite(s): SOC 361 ; STA 252 . 3 hour(s).
